கொளத்தூர் விவேகானந்தா மெயின் ரோடு, முருகன் கோயில் தெருவில் சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்னதாக மழை நீர் கால்வாய் அமைக்கும் பணிகள் நடைபெற்றது. அப்பணிகளுக்கு பிறகு சாலை சமன் செய்யப்படாததாலும், சமீபத்திய பெரு மழையினாலும் சேதாரமுற்ற நிலையில் இருக்கிறது. மழைக்காலங்களில் வாகன ஒட்டிகள் இவ்வழியே செல்ல மிகுந்த சிரமம் ஏற்படுவதாகவும் விபத்துக்கள் ஏற்படும் முன்னர் தகுந்த நிர்வாகம் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் எனவும் இப்பகுதி மக்கள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.
